Founded at the brink of the Asian financial crisis in 1997 - which turned out to be Indonesia's worst ever economic, political and social collapse - Recapital Advisors has grown from a small financial advisory firm to become the country's largest and most reputable restructuring expert, deal maker, financial asset manager and investor.

Ever since its founding, Recapital Advisors is known for its aggresive entry and quick expansion onto sectors that used to be avoided by most Indonesian and multinational companies such as public utilities and infrastructure due to complex regulatory and bureacracy hurdles.

This was after the company built impressive track record in restructuring followed by inviting foreign investment into sectors worst hit by the crisis such as banking, finance, hospitality and tourism. Recapital's acquired and managed assets have grown two to three folds higher than industry averages in terms of book value within 3 to 5 years. Most become market leaders, if not trend setters, in their respective industry.

Recapital Advisors have started to establish footprints regionally even globally. Again, aggressively and impressively. Its water distribution arm, Aetra, is now a trusted partner of municipal governments in Vietnam, following a successful venture in Jakarta and Tangerang.

The company's founders, Rosan Roeslani, Sandiaga Uno, and Elvin Ramli are young and devout believers that strong and sustainable business growth are only possible if a solid financial structure, practical value creation strategy, capable management, and commitment to good corporate governance are as real as the drive for more, bigger, and better success.
